About Me

David Gothard has spent over 30 years living in Houston and has a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience within it.  After graduating from Pearland High School in 2001, he attended The University of Houston – Main Campus and assisted in the founding of the Beta Nu Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. Shortly after, driven by a duty to serve something greater than himself, David joined the armed forces and served on both the east and west coasts. After a successful enlistment and multiple awards, he was discharged honorably and returned to The University of Houston to graduate Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Science in 2009. Given another opportunity to serve others, David was offered a position with Pearland ISD as a Coach and Teacher. In 2016, David decided to answer a calling to serve in Law Enforcement and joined the ranks of the Galveston Police Department.  Within the Galveston Police Department, David served as a Patrol Officer, Instructor, Community Services Officer, and Warrant Officer with the US Marshals Violent Offender Task Force.  David was also a member of both the Dive Team and SWAT team.
